Helpful Big Brother

Jackson has been sick.  He spiked a fever this past Wednesday and has been miserable ever since.  My baby who normally never wants to be held, has sat in my lap with his head on my shoulder since Wednesday afternoon.  He has spent most of the past 3 nights sleeping with his head on my stomach or chest.  Every time I've tried to put him down, he cries miserably and it just breaks my heart!  I was thankful this morning when he woke up (after actually sleeping in his crib for a few hours) and his fever was down to just over 100 degrees.  I thought that maybe I wouldn't be carrying around with me all day.  He started the day pretty good and actually played on the floor for a little bit, but he was soon tired and ready to snuggle up in my arms again.  I have to admit that I have enjoyed the snuggling, but it has been hard to get anything else done.  So, this morning when I tried to put him down so I could get Adam a snack, he started to sob like I had just told him the saddest story ever!  Adam walked over to the couch, sat down next to him and picked him up.  Jackson struggled for a couple of seconds and then just laid his head back on Adam and calmed down.  It was such a relief!  Adam is an awesome big brother!
After a long nap this morning, Jackson seemed to be doing much better, so we decided to head out to Costco.  Some of our grocerys were packed in this box.  After another nap once we got home from Costco, Jackson found the box and thought it was the best thing, especially once Adam and dad started dragging him around the house in it.  It was nice to hear him giggle a little after the past couple of days.  I've missed my happy boy!

Poor little guy... No fun being sick. Glad he is getting better. That is so nice that Adam came to help.

Awe, I love the picture/story of Adam picking him up and snuggling him! That is precious.
